Site Introduction

Electronics has become huge part of our life. For all of us who live in small town, almost villages (I am from Croatian village Sotin) it's not easy to buy electronics because we have to travel to nearest town for this. And then we came to the store and can't make up our mind what to buy since the choice is not easy. I created this web site with intention to provide all of you with new articles that'll help you with your electronics and electrical devices.

Science and Electronics

Electronic Technology Begins With Science
IPods, Blue-Ray, Blue-Tooth, Wifi, and Wii all began with scientists with expertise in technology. Science and electronics race at breakneck speed to advance to profoundly alter human life on earth and are inextricably linked. From the abacus of primitive existence to computer software that processes accounting, federal and state taxes, economic and investment data, science has produced methods of calculating in volumes that far surpass the ability of the human intellect to comprehend.

 Science Fiction, Science Reality
Blackberrys and electronic PDAs, track an individual's daily events while cell phone functions include calculating, emailing, photographic and text messaging. The mind-boggling world of electronics proves that science can and will make dreams reality. Science fiction has become Science reality. Nearly any electronic device considered science fiction can become science reality. Ray guns created in science fiction for strange aliens from other planets nudged science into laser technology. From laser technology, came a plethora of electronic devices: laser beam pens, pointers and surgical instruments. If man can dream it, a scientist can make it happen.

Inside the Marriage of Science and Electronics
It may seem the most likely marriage for technology. Science and electronics conceive a viable consumable for human use. Non-invasive surgical procedures were spawned by scientists who developed the means to reduce surgery that required long periods of recuperation due to the nature of invasiveness. Scientists continually advance medicine as a result of research and development of electronic devices that prevent cardiac arrest through the use of electronic monitors and testing equipment. Disease prevention is also part of the technology is linked to scientific electronic devices that detect cancerous lesions, tumors and other types of illness.

Science and Electronics---Perfect Together
No better match for advancing human life exists than pairing science and electronics. New scientific technologies transcend to create sophisticated electronic devices.

Water

It is a proven fact that living creatures can not continue living without water, but not everyone knows what this life force is. Water, ultimately, is a liquid that is seemingly transparent. It is a chemical compound consisting of two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom. Thus, the formula is H2O. This is true no matter how much water you’re dealing with: from a drop of water to an ocean full of it, there will always be two times as many hydrogen atoms as there will be oxygen atoms.

Water covers 70% of the Earth’s surface. Included in this estimate is everything from clouds, which are made of water, to lakes and streams. This is why photos of the Earth that are taken from space make the planet look blue and white.

The planet’s water is abundant because the supply is constantly being recycled. The sun evaporates the water from oceans, lakes, and other water sources and is then processed or given off by the planet’s forests. Through condensation, the vapor becomes clouds, and these clouds produce rain. The rain hits the land and then falls into the bodies of water from which it came.

Water is important because it is involved in most functions. It keeps everything from plants to animals alive. Additionally, water is what shapes things like mountains and caves and has the power to dissolve or erode even the heaviest and strongest of rocks. Thus, water is more powerful and important than most people are aware of.

Uses for Silicone Compounds in Space

Silicone thoughts; silicon is really usefull, it has wide rang of purposes. We even use silicone in space... "Silicon-based polymers are ideal for use in a range of space and low-earth-orbit (LEO) applications. They are flexible through a wide range of temperatures, resistant to vibration and cracking, and unaffected by high vacuum." (Alex Range, 2009)

Science in everyday life

"Science is an integral part of everyone's life. We always rely on it that is why it is really important that we know the basics of it and we use it to improve our own life." (Mary Wilson, 2009) Sometimes we are not aware of this but yes it is true that we use science in our everyday lifes; we watch our LCD TV, use our modern  cooking stove, etc. But think a little bit and you'll seee that this thigns wouldn't be here without science and mass production. Scientists works hard to find new ways to improve our lifes.

Computers history

"Computers Evolution
Later, devices were used for data collection in astronomy and as the industrial age dawned for mechanical equipment to increase production. By the middle 1940's, development of what is recognized as a "computer" used binary and decimal numerical systems to "compute", though not all were programmable logic controlled. Beginning in Germany with Zuse's "Z" machines in 1941, and EDSAC, which introduced development of memory storage, the US military developed "ENIAC", one of the first computers with new design that included memory storage. ENIAC could be considered the first computer similar to today's computers.

Computers Develop With New Technology
By the 1970's computers evolved from vacuum tube technology to microprocessor circuitry. Hardware for computers grew smaller in size and required less space than original room-sized computers. As computers evolved, so did programmability and program languages. Fortran, a language that was used in the 1970's to transfer data to magnetic cards (mag card) facilitated the ease of faster data collection. Another computer program language used largely in the scientific fields was Pascal. Gradually by the late 1980's, computers and the program languages grew in sophistication. A computer's ability to store vast amounts of data created the development for larger computer memory storage up to the present gigabytes and terrabytes." (Ivonne Pasjak, 2009). I took these two paragraphs from my friends article to show you origin of computers. I personally don't think about gadgets I use all the time (laptop, MP3 player, USB stick...) but all these little thigs has history and some hard path behind them. I dont' say that we needs to think of this all the time but if someone wants to know origin of computers here you are, read this article.

There are many dish network promotions, however be carefull while you choose the right one. You can find yourself in a lot of problems if you choose bad retailer. Check out carefully packages they offer you and compare number of programs available.

Wii Games

There is such a wide selection of Wii games available that there is a game to suit everyone.  Wii games such as Wii Sports Resort or Mario Kart really demonstrate the uniqueness of the controller and ease at which any member of the family can play.

Science and business works together

This is a good example how science can help us in all areas of our lifes, check out state of the art riflescopes (riflescopes, 2009). Science worked hard to improve it.

History of internet

In the 50's the United States had an inefficient and chaotic communication system and the threat of war, nuclear and in the midst of the Cold War in the late 60's, the Department of Defense of the EU, addressing strategic issues, set the parameters for the development of a network of computers that became known as ARPANET.

The network was born in 1969. It was created by a group of researchers, to establish a system of communication with other agencies of government in a project to communicate some computer centers around the country. The fear that an attack could destroy the data stored in one place, forced not only a powerful computer which the central keep, but the result of the connection of many. The project called ARPANET, was to develop a system of military information, which retained their operation, even if some of these computer centers were bombed. So if one or two of these centers were destroyed, the rest could stay connected.

Each node of the network, received an identification number, known as the address, which allowed computers to differ from each other to facilitate the implementation of processes simultaneously. The scheme is based on "packages" of information sent to different computers according to the protocol standard Internet (IP). Each packet carries including the address of the computer to which it was sent, so that the "package" may be being diverted to its destination. Over the years, ARPANET was opening its communication standards at universities, research and government agencies as well as to institutions abroad, becoming a cosmopolitan network called Internet.

As time passed, Arpanet grew and grew on computers connected, and early 80s are numerous networks. That was a huge bank of data which was very difficult to find what was needed and had too many incompatible formats. Thus was born the Internet, uniting what was once a "rosary" of small networks and, more importantly, introduced the tools necessary for management, creating different programs for access.

The increasing demand to be connected quickly and soon became clear that the system would have other purposes than originally intended, and that these depended on the needs of new users. To solve the problem of the various codes were developed protocols of communication that allows computers to communicate transparently across different interconnected networks. So the protocols were developed TCP / IP (Transmission Control Protocol / Internet Protocol). Once you have found the solution were added to support more networks with new services such as e-mail, mailing lists, among others.

Until the late eighties, the Internet was used primarily by researchers and academics, but in the current decade, since he became popular among all kinds of people, has grown at a frenetic pace.

However, conducting a census on the Internet is like trying to count the heads of those who attended a large demonstration. Given the above observation, the Internet population would be between 10 and 100 million or less.

Oddly enough, there is no authority that controls central network operation, although there are groups working to organize somehow the traffic on it. Nor belongs to a private or government entity. Most of its services and resources are offered for free to its users.

One reason was the popularity to consult information on tools such as Gopher and Archie which were obscured with the development of World Wide Web (WWW) in 1991 by CERN (European Laboratory for Particle Physics).

While simpler tools were developed to query information, the boom began in 1993 with the launch of Mosaic, the first graphical browser.

Mosaic Today and their successors as Netscape Navigator allow just click with the mouse in a few words and figures (called hyperlinks) the browser automatically read pages on any computer connected to the WWW, born with this the word now known as Browse.

It is estimated that the average age of the standard Internet user is 32 years and 1 in 10 users are under 18 years. It is estimated that 57% of users are male and 43% women globally. There are also people with internet addiction problem. This problem is incresing with popularity of social media like: facebook, twitter, digg...

Today, 30 years later, the Internet is now a reality that unites more than 16 million reported networks including telephone lines, fiber optic and satellite and over 60 million users, with current information equivalent to 40 million novels.

The rate of growth, both as end-user networks, is twelve percent monthly as Internet Society assumes that in 2020 there will be something over 200 million Internet users.
